And this one – with a ceremony at the St. Patrick’s Cathedral Lady Chapel and reception at the New York Athletic Club (the same locations Sarah’s parents held their wedding years before) – was a wedding filled with meaning. You may remember these two from their sweet engagement session and the genuine joy that filled those images. And that joy carried through – despite the unseasonable cold and continuous rain that persisted throughout their day.

Ceremony – St. Patrick’s Cathedral

Filled with genuine warmth, Matt gave his groomsmen handmade gift boxes. Sarah was a bright light that shone throughout the pale gray sky. As rain continued to fall on 5th Avenue and we made our way to St. Patrick’s Cathedral, she smiled throughout.

Reception – the New York Athletic Club

After the ceremony we meandered through the city streets in black cars, like cats through an alley, and made our way to the Athletic Club, where, despite ever-dropping temperatures and more heavily falling rain, Matt and Sarah held each other close with their friends and families at their side overlooking Central Park for a few photos and precious moments together. Later, as the sun set and the moon rose over the park, the newly wed couple dined and danced and toasted in a way one can only experience in New York.
